What the credits and limits mean
Devin
Each plan comes with a usage allowance, not a fixed number of credits. The data does not give the allowance size per plan, so we cannot say how much work $20 or $200 buys.
Free and Pro allow up to 10 concurrent sessions. Extra usage is charged at API pricing, which is the main overage risk for heavy users. SWE-2 was free through 2026-10-16.
Claude
There are no credits on the consumer plans. Usage is limited over a rolling 5-hour window, with weekly limits on top. Max gives 5x or 20x the Pro limits and includes $100-$200 per month of API credits. You can buy optional usage credits at API rates.
The rolling 5-hour window and weekly caps mean heavy bursts can hit a limit before the week is out. Going beyond them means upgrading or paying API rates for extra usage. The price of the Max 20x tier was not printed in the text we checked.
