Methodology

How prices are checked

We read each vendor's public pricing page (or official help docs when the page can't be read) and record plans, price, credit unit, caps and free tier with the date checked. Anything we couldn't confirm is marked Unverified — we never fill gaps with guesses. A “Checked” badge only means we re-read the vendor's public page; it can't be bought.

Cost per task Results coming soon

Every agent runs the same three tasks on a fresh account, on the plan being tested, with the default model. We record the usage meter before and after (screenshot), wall-clock time, human interventions and retries (max 2). Each task runs 3 times; we report the median. Cost = credits used × list price per credit, or for flat-rate plans an estimated share of the monthly allowance (labelled “flat-rate, est.”). Inputs, prompts and outputs will be published.

T1 — Contract summary

Input: a fixed 20-page synthetic MSA (SHA-256 published). Prompt: “Summarize this contract in ≤400 words, then list: parties, term, fees, termination rights, liability cap, auto-renewal, and 3 risky clauses with page numbers.” Pass: all 7 fields correct vs answer key and ≥2 of 3 risky clauses match.

T2 — Messy CSV reconciliation

Inputs: bank.csv (500 rows) and ledger.csv (480 rows) with seeded issues — mixed date formats, duplicates, “$” vs numbers, 12 planted mismatches. Prompt: “Reconcile these two files. Output reconciled.csv with match_status and a list of unmatched/mismatched rows with reasons.” Pass: ≥11/12 mismatches found, ≤2 false positives, downloadable CSV.

T3 — 5-email prospecting sequence

Inputs: a fictional SaaS persona (selling to HR directors at 200-person firms) and product brief. Prompt: “Write a 5-email cold sequence over 14 days with subject lines, ≤120 words each, one CTA each, personalised tokens.” Pass: 5 emails, word limits met, rubric ≥7/10 from two raters. Emails are never actually sent.
